Been a long time!!

Its been a loooong time since I have posted anything on this blog I doubt anyone reads it anymore.Lol.I have just been so busy with my shop and life in general that I have not had time to fit everything in.I have also resigned from all my design team positions,which I was sad about doing,but something had to give.I really want to make a go at having my own online shop and things are started to look up,so I will keep at it.

Anyway,my card was a commission and its been a while since I made a card!I kept it simple as it is for a man,but I am quite pleased with how it turned out.I always struggle with male cards!!

I have also tried my hand at a new kind of craft.Needle felting.Here are the results

and lastly a little elephant.

These are currently for sale in my shop.I have also had a few commissions,especially for the Badgers:-)

No Designer Papers Challenge.

Morning everyone.Here is my card for this weeks CES Challenge which is no Designer papers.I struggled with this one as every card I make has dp on it,so it was a challenge.I used an Elzybells stamp and coloured it in with Promarkers.I then layered it on some cardstock and added a Tim Holtz adage ticket,some hatpins and cord and ribbon.Most of the items on this card are available at Crafty Emmas Store.

CES Challenge Anything goes

Hi everyone,another snowy day here.Hope you are not suffering too much with the snow.My card today is for the challenge at CES Challenges which this week is anything goes.We are on a Christmas break then so you have until the 8th January to join in.I am pushed for time just now as I am sure we all are so I used a vintage image and layered it on My Minds Eye papers.The sentiment is computer generated and I added touches of glitter here and there.I finished with a poinsettia and some lace down the side.Hope you can join us and remember and visit Crafty Emmas Store ,which will remain open over the festive season.

Mr Snowman

Evening everyone.I have finally found time to make a card and enter it into some Challenges.It has been months since I have done that.I have been a terrible Blogger,but my online webshops have been keeping me busy,my clocks have proved really popular and they are going quite well,which is brilliant,but it is loads of work!!I am finally getting on top of things though.

Anyway,my card today is made using a lovely LOTV stamp.I have used Distress Inks and covered him with loads of Glamour Dust!!The papers are left over from last year,I think they are My Minds Eye.I have finished with a large snowflake.some Dew Drops and a computer generated sentiment.

Morning everyone,hope you have a nice weekend planned.My card today is for Challenge #10 over at CES Challenges which is Buttons and Bows.I have decided to do something different so there is no stamping on this one.I used My Minds Eye I Believe papers,for this and hand cut a tree and little presents.Everything is then embellished with stickles and buttons and I finished with a little charm and a sentiment done on the computer.

On another note,same old story I know,but I am still having trouble with blogger.It has taken me 3 days to get this post on,I can't leave comments,I can barely get on the design team blogs I am a part of.I don't get much spare time now,and the sheer amount of time it takes me to get on Blogger and leave just one comment,is time I don't have.As a result my blog hardly gets visitors anymore and I cannot leave comments on other peoples blogs.It is making me very sad,and if it was not for the fact that I enjoy my DT positions so much,I think I would stop blogging:-(.It is just Blogger,it makes my browser crash and it times out,no other websites do this.If anyone has any ideas,or indeed if anyone visits my blog anymore let me know.

Rubbish Blogger and CES Challenge

Hello,I hope you are having a great weekend.I have popped on her to remind you of this weeks challenge over at CES Challenges.I am not taking part this week,I am joining in fortnightly.This week it is Floral Frenzy and the fabby prize up for grabs is a Basic Grey card kit.Now,normally I would upload a picture here of the prize,but Mr Blogger will not let me.To say I am having MAJOR problems with Blogger is an understatement.I can hardly get on any blogs and I sit for ages and when I do get on I can't see pictures just a tiny red cross in the corner.It is so infuriating.It just seems to be with Blogger,so I don't know if it is my computer or not.If I havn't been leaving comment for you it is because I can't :-(.It just takes so long and I don't get that much time.
I am also working on something else.I have decided to open up a (very)small online business selling gifts and little bits and pieces such as clocks and gift bags.I gave up work 6 years ago to raise our family and my daughter has now started school.My little boy,however won't be starting school for another 4 years yet and although my family mean the world to me and are the most important to me,I feel I need to do something for myself.I am still looking at it as a hobby though and as it has not really cost much to get going,I am not too concerned about selling huge amounts.I will just plod along and see what happens.I am not quite ready to go live yet maybe another couple of weeks.

Sketch Challenge at Mami Doodles DT Card

Morning everyone,I hope you are ready for the weekend.Here is my DT card for this weeks challenge at Mami Doodles.This week you have to follow a sketch.I provided the sketch for this weeks challenge and as this is the first time I have done this it is quite a simple one.

I used one of the new digi images.Her name is Amy and she is very cute and lovely to colour.I cut out her bath and added it with foam pads but it does not really show in the photos.She is coloured in with Promarkers and the papers are My Minds Eye.Finished it with the usual charms,flowers and Glamour Dust for the bubbles.

CES Challenge DT Card

Woo Hoo,our first ever challenge over at Crafty Emmas Store Challenges or CES Challenges for short.The first challenge is Anything Goes,so a nice easy one to start with.My design team card was made using a lovely Milton stamp,which is a joy to colour.I used my Prisma Pencils,and some Twinklets on the top of his stocking.The papers used are Pink Paislee Mistletoe & co,these are beautiful such rich colours.The sentiment is cut from one of the papers and I finished of with a charm,some Robins Nest Dew Drops and some stickles.Products used on this card are available at Crafty Emmas Store along with loads more lovely stash.

Autumnal Feel

Hi everyone,I hope you are all fine.My card matches the weather here today,heavy rain and wind,so definately autumnal.Its made using a Penny Johnson stamp that I fell in love with,such a cute image.I coloured it with Promarkers and added some flat backed pearls for her buttons.I aded some of my older fabric flowers,and attached a little acorn charm to the raffia.The beautiful papers was a bargain I found in my local Lidls.The paper is stunning with glittery leaves.I got 3 12x12 pads with all different papers for different occasions.This card is for the following challenges:

My card today was made using a Pure Innocence stamp.These are lovely images and great to colour in.My daughter started school yesterday and thankfully everything is going well.I was a nervous wreck yesterday waiting for her to come home,but she really enjoyed it.I coloured it in with promarkers to match my daughters school uniform and the paper I used I found in my local craft shop.I can't remember the name as I had never heard of them before,but they are beautiful,with a lovely linen texture to them.I finished with some ribbon,bows,gems and flowers from Papermania and a pencil button added to the flower.

Morning everyone.I have had great news recently.The lovely Elisa(confusing we have the same name)has picked me to be on her design team over at Mami Doodles.This is my first ever DT position so this is new for me but very exciting!The challenge this time is to make a shaped card.These images are so cute and great fun to colour in.

I made my DT card using Rosie and I cut the card out with my Nesties.I coloured her in with Promarkers and layered it on some My Minds Eye paper and as usual added some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.I finished with a charm and a greeting.

New Home

Hello and I hope you are having a nice evening.My card tonight is made using a Meljens Design digi stamp.I thought this was a really cute image for a new home card.I printed the image onto watercolour paper and coloured it in with Promarkers.I then layered it on to a tall card with some Echo Park summertime papers.I finished with some ribbon and a Prima Pebble and a dash of glamour dust here and there.I edged the paper with Ice stickles.

I have been asked a few times now about the paper I am using.I am using two kinds just now.The paper used in the card above with the honeycomb texture is a cheap watercolour pad I got out of Tescos.I am also using another cheaper watercolour pad.I think the name of it is Gallery or something.I find the Promarkers blend easier on watercolour paper,although you have to be careful of bleeding over the lines.I usually get rid of any mistakes with my Promarker blender.

Teddies Christmas

Morning everyone,hope you all have a great weekend planned.My card today is made using another of my LOTV stamps.I coloured him in with Promarkers and added some Glamour Dust and Twinklets for snow.I also added Twinklets to the poinsettia again.The papers are Basic Grey and the flat backed pearls are from my stash.The greeting was done on my computer and I added a charm to it.This card is going to be for my little boy,who will be nearly 2 this christmas,so he might have a better understanding of what is going on as he was so young last year.I love christmas now with my two kiddies,cant even remember what is was like without them!Anyway,back to my card and it is for the following challenges:

First Christmas Card!

At last I have managed to get a picture uplaoded.I had to change my browser though.Boy,what a hassle!.Anyway,this is my first christmas card of 2010,made using one of the cute LOTV stamps.I coloured it in with Promarkers and added some glamour dust and stickles here and there.I followed a tutorial over at the wonderful Bev's blog for the Poinsettia covered in Twinklets.The spacers I have had for ages and the charms are from Quixotic Paperie.The papers are a My Minds Eye christmas collection from last year.I have distresses round the edges with Distress Inks and Stickles.This card is for the following challenges:

Having trouble with Blogger!!!

Is anyone else having trouble uploading pictures.I have been trying now for 2 days to get my card uploaded and it just will not work.I am getting very fed up with Blogger now as it always seems to be playing up.If this continues I think I will just give up for the sake of my sanity!!!Anyway,I will try again tonight.If anyone has got any ideas to help me,please let me know.

Evening everyone,hope you are all having a nice weekend and are ready for a great weekend ahead.My card tonight was made using a fab Mo Manning digital image.I love the little birds and this makes a perfect new home card.I printed it onto watercolour paper and coloured them in with Promarkers.I layered it onto brown card and a strip of Blue Basic Grey paper.I added a flower some brads in the corners and a lovely gingham ribbon(I love gingham).I finished by adding a flower in the corner and a couple of charm to dangle from the ribbon.This card is for the following challenges:

Hello everyone,hope you are all well.I was asked to make a retirement card,so I quickly made this one as I have so little spare time:-( I have bought a few of the new LOTV christmas stamps and I am itching to use them,but not getting near my desk just now.Anyway this was made using a Mrs Comfy digi image from Phindys Place.This was great fun to colour.I used my Promarkers and added some Glamour dust here and there.The papers are Basic Grey and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.I added some little punched leaves and edged the papers with Ice Stickles.This card is for the following challenge:

Pretty Dress

Morning everyone,hope you had a nice week.I am back after my break.I spent a few lovely days in Stirling wandering around taking in the sights.The weather was rubbish,but being scottish I am used to rubbish summer weather,so it did not stop us.It was so cold though that we had to buy fleeces to put on under our coats!!Is this really July!The weather in the north is terrible as well,really windy and cold.

Anyway,I was hoping to have a christmas card for today,but I have not been near my desk,so this is a card I made a little while ago.Apologies for the rubbish photo,but the shutter button decided to pop off my camera,so this is taken using my phone.I used a Whiff of Joy image and coloured it with Promarkers.The papers are Basic Grey and the flowers are Marianne Creatables die cuts.I stuck a Prima Pebble in the middle of the large one,and added some punched leaves.I used distress ink on the edges and background and some Ice Stickles.The sentiment is a Whimsy stamp and the pearls and gems are from my stash.

Morning everyone,I hope you are having a nice weekend.My card today is another male one I had to make for a family birthday I have coming up.I still don't like making them.I think it's because I can't use flowers or sparkle!!It is made using a Greetings Farm stamp and coloured in with promarkers.I have added the age and name with rub ons and the sentiment is a Whimsy stamp.I can't remember the name of the papers as it is scraps from my stash.No challenges for this card.

I have noticed a few christmas cards popping up on my travels through blogland,so I have decided to make a start.I have ordered some of the new christmas stamps from LOTV.Who could resist them and such great value.Can't wait for the rest to come out!!

Anyway,I am having a blogging break this week as I have loads on and won,t be near a computer.Have a great week and I will be back at the weekend,hopefully with my first christmas card of the year!

Sleeping Beauty

Morning everyone.A card made today with another baby stamp I have fallen in love with.Its a Belles and Whistles one bought from Quixotic Paperie.I coloured it with my Promarkers and layered it on some scraps of Papermania paper and some Basic Grey paper.I used some of my old flowers from my stash with a Prima Pebble and some punched leaves.I have used another of my dummy charms and distressed round the edges of the paper and added glitter with my Sakura clear glitter pen.It does not really show in photo though.The sentiment is a clear sticker layered onto some paper and distressed round the edges.I have had these for years,I think they were from Lakeland.This card is for the following challenges:

Evening everyone.I have managed to get some crafting done.The weather here has changed dramatically with gales and rain.I don't think its July,its more like October!!Anyway,on to my card.Its made using another one of my Pure Innocence stamps.I love them,they are so sweet.She is coloured in with promarkers and layered onto Echo Park Summertime papers,which are so bright and cheery.I have used some old flowers from my stash and embellished them using a flower punch,some pearls and another Prima Pebble.I finished with some punched butterflies and some gems.This card is suitable for the following challenges:

I absolutely adore this LOTV stamp,so I decided to make another baby card.I only have the dummy charms in blue and yellow though and I cannot find them anywhere to buy them in pink:-(.It is coloured in with Promarkers and I just layered it on some plain card that has been embossed using Cuttlebug folders.Flowers as usual from Wild Orchid and I dabbed them with Stickles.The ribbon and buttons are from Papermania and I finished with some gems and one of my beloved dummy charms.Only the one challenge for this card:

As the title says I think this card is too busy and I am not sure I like it.I am still going to use it though as the little girl it is for I am sure will like it.I have used Charleston Tilda and coloured her with Promarkers.I used the Nesties out of bounds technique,but I think I need to improve as she had a large crease on her forehead,which I managed to flatten,and also on her ankle!!I used Basic Grey papers,and various other bits and pieces from my stash.I edged the papers with Walnut Stain and stickled it as well.This card is for the following challenge:

Evening everyone,have you all had a nice weekend?.The weather here has been awful and I have had heating on the whole weekend.I hope July is better!!Anyway,my card today is using the oh so cute Sick Henry stamp from Whiff of Joy.This is also how I feel just now.He was coloured in with my Distress Inks and I inked all the edges with Walnut Stain and Stickles.The papers are Basic Grey and some Bazzill card from my stash.I used some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and punched out some leaves with my Marianne Design Creatables and added some green pearls.The sentiment is a clear sticker put on to white card and the edges distressed.

Mint choccy chip!!

My card today was inspired by mint choc chip ice cream.Now green is not a colour I use much,but I love how this colour combo has turned out and will definately use it again.I used The Greeting Farm Me Time Anya and coloured her with Promarkers.I thenembellished it with flowers,pearls,hatpins and a ribbon from my stash.I also found a rubber ducky charm which I thought would go perfect.I have just noticed while typing this that the ink has run and made a brown splodge beside the bottom flower!!I have gone round the edges with Distress Ink and Stickles.I finished of with another ticket sentiment.

Baby Blanket

Morning everyone,I hope you all have a great week in store.My card for today was made using my new baby stamp from LOTV. I dont know any pregnant ladies just now,but I had to have this stamp.I am a sucker for baby stamps and this one is too cute not to buy!!I coloured him in with my Promarkers and there is lots of Glimmer Mist added to this card but it does not show up in the photo:-(The blue papers are Basic Grey and I just used some plain white card with it and some blue netting I found in a box.The flowers are by Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are cut using my Marianne Designs creatables.I love how they look,but I do not use them much as I find I have to spend ages picking the card out of the dies.They seem to be very fiddly!!The blue dummy I also found in my stash,I have had them for years and forgot about them.I also have some yellow ones,but sadly no pink.I have finished of with some blue stickles and pearls.The sentiment is a download from Caz(see my resources page,if you want them)

Morning.I hope everyone has a nice weekend planned.My card today is made using another of my new WOJ stamps.I love this stamp as you can put any sentiment you want inside the envelope.I used an old See-D stamp for this one to put Birthday Wishes inside it.I have coloured her in with Promarkers and used Antique Linen distress ink pad for the background and also for the flowers.The papers are Basic Grey and I have edged around them with gold Stickles.I have also added some gold sheer ribbon from my stash and a hatpin.The embellishment was made from one of my beloved Prima Pebbles.I only have a few left now,and some of them I wont use so I pulled the clear dome away from the backing paper,added my own paper,and stuck it back together again.Flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts.

Afternoon and I hope you are all enjoying a crafty day.My card today is made using a digi image from Phindys Place.I was asked to do a retirement card and thought this image would be perfect.It is Mrs Comfy relaxing on the beach.I coloured her in with Promarkers and added some glossy accents to her glasses and her drinks glass.I added the sentiment at the bottom on the computer.The paper are Basic Grey and the flowers as usual are from Wild Orchid Crafts.I attached the beads on some craft wire and dashed some Stickles here and there and finished of with a pink organza ribbon.

Hello there,I hope you all had a nice weekend.Weather here was great,but not so nice today.My card for today is made with a Kraftin Kimmie stamp I have had for a while,but not yet used(along with about 20 others!!!)I coloured her in with Promarkers and glittered her to within an inch of her life!I have used shimmery chalk on the background which does not really show in the photo.The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the ribbon thingy(can't remember what it is called)was in my stash.I stuck some beads on some craft wire and attached them underneath the big flower.

Unfortunately I appear to be having a bad card day,and this did not turn out as I had wanted!!I coloured Henry in with my Distress Inks and matted him on my Nesties.The papers used are Doodlebug as re the letters.I used black netting to try to make a web,which I don't think has really worked,but now I know not to try that again!!!This card is for my little boy and girl to give to their Daddy for Fathers Day.Here is the inside.

Hello,I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and the lovely sunshine,although it is thick fog with me just now!My card today is made using my new Whiff of Joy stamp.I loved this image.This is what I looked like after nights out,hence the reason I don,t go out much now!!This is also my final attempt at entering the Whiff of Joy guest designer call,which ends tonight.See Katharinas Blog for details.You had to use red,orange and one other colour,so for this one I chose purple.I coloured the image with my Promarkers and layered it on some Basic Grey papers.The sentiment in the corner is a Whimsy stamp.I kept this card quite simple to keep the image as the main focus.I edged the image with a gold leafing pen.Apologies again for the rubbish photo,my camera is playing up again.Thats it for now,Thanks for stopping by.

I have decided to do something today I have not done before.Apply for a guest designer spot at Whiff of Joy.Here is a post telling you all about it on Katharina's Blog.There are so many talented cardmakers out there that I am not very hopeful,but I had fun making this card and thats what matters.You had to use red,orange and one other colour,so I chose aqua as I love how bright it looks.I used my City Girl Whiff of Joy stamp and coloured her in with my Promarkers as they have been somewhat neglected recently in favour of my Distress Inks!!I added some lovely Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and dabbed some stickles here and there.The sentiment is one of Caz's ticket sentiments(see my Resources page at top of blog to get the downloads for yourself).I finished of with some rub-ons and some pearls and an organza ribbon.

Hanging Basket

Hi,hope you are all having a nice night.My card today is quite a simple one made using my Elzybells stamps.I stamped the hanging basket and the corner bracket and then I just added some small paper flowers.I then dotted some pearls and some stickles around the flowers.The sentiment on the image is Elzybells and the other one is computer generated.I used some Basic Grey papers and added a metal charm to the ribbon and the white flourish that you can barely see in the corner is a rub-on.

Hello and I hope everyone is doing fine.I am trying to get back into blogging and cardmaking after a period of illnesses,being busy and just generally not having enough time.I have also had absolutely no motivation recently for crafting.Whenever I sat down to make something,my mind went blank and I just gave up.Also Blogger does not always behave with me and it is a hit or a miss.

Anyway I have decided to change my blog and I have added some pages along the top.In these I am going to add crafty shops,digital stamp stores,challenge blogs etc.Also I have sometimes stumbled across kind bloggers offering free downloads,templates etc,so I have added a page to link to these,so I dont forget where they are.If anyone has anything they would like me to add to these pages,let me know and I will gladly add them.This is all a work in progress,so there is not much there yet,but I will get it built up.

I also hope to get some more bloghopping done,I bet I have missed out on some fabby cards.

Hello and I hope you are having a nice evening.My card tonight was made using the new robot stamp from Pink Cat Studio.He comes with different sentiments to stamp on his tummy.I have stamped mines a bit squint which is driving me nuts but it will do.He is coloured in with Distress Inks and I shaded round him with chalks.The papers are My Minds Eye and I have used a cute acrylic robot charm.You cant see his detail properly in this photo!The letters are Prima.

Pure Innocence

Evening everyone,hope you are having a nice weekend.My card today was made using my new Pure Innocence stamp from My Favourite Things.Isn,t she a cutie.I bought two from the collection,but I can see me having to get the rest.They are lovely stamps to work with and great fun to colour.I liked this one as you can add any greeting you want to her chalkboard.I added mines with white Doodlebug rub ons.It is coloured with my Distress Inks and the papers are Cosmo Cricket.The flowers are from my stash and the ABC sticker in the centre of the flower was one I had in my stash for years.I thought it went with this stamp perfectly.Pity its the only one I have.I added dashes of Stickles here and there and finished of with little gems in each corner.

Ladybug Tilda

Hello everyone,hope you are all ready for the weekend with something nice planned.My card for today is one made with my new Ladybug Tilda.I will admit that I have not really been a huge fan of these stamps and I recently got rid of all my old ones,but 2 or 3 of the new ones caught my eye so I had to buy them:-).This is Ladybug Tilda and I couloured it in with my Distress Inks.The paper is Rose Garden by Papermania(I think!) and the flowers are a mixture from Wild Orchid Crafts and Quixotic Paperie.I have used another one of my Prima Pebbles and some pearls and the sentiment is a Daisy and Dandelion one.The pearls are from my stash.I have also added a cute little ladybird in the corner.I have added loads of Frosted Lace Stickles,but it does not really show up in photo.

Hello,I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.Lovely sunshine here,but very,very windy although it usually always is up here!My card for today is made using a cute LOTV stamp.It is coloured in with Distress Inks.I didn't have any papers to match so I just ran some plain cardstock through my Cuttlebug.I also used another one of my Prima Pebbles.I absolutely love these and will have to look for some more,as these were just a chance find.The ribbon is lovely wire edged organza from Bunny Zoes Crafts.The greeting was done on the computer.

Colourful Clown

Hello.I hope everyone is fine and enjoying some spring like weather.Winter is definately waving goodbye now.Good riddance,it has been a very long one!

My card for today is for my wee girl to give to her little brother on his first birthday next week.It is made using a High Hopes stamp(I think,correct me if I am wrong).The paper has been in my stash for ages,and I finished it with a scrap of ribbon which matched perfectly.I coloured it with my distress inks and added Glossy Accents to his nose and his juggling balls.I love this clown stamp,as you can make it as colourful as you like.Greeting done on computer.

Hello and I hope everyone is fine.My card today was one I made quickly,so I could use this cute stamp I bought ages ago,but never got round to using it.Coloured in with my Distress inks and the papers are My Minds Eye.The ribbons,buttons and charms are from my stash and the greeting is by Daisy and Dandelion,which I won in a recent challenge.

Things are a bit busy my end just now.I have a wedding coming up,birthdays,friends having babies,meetings and workshops at school,plus we are doing some serious decorating in the house.I may disappear for a while in between posting cards,but I will try and update as often as possible,and hopefully join in a challenge or two.

Hi,hope you are all enjoying your weekend.My card today is made for my wee boy who will be one shortly.The year has flown in!!I used another Mo Manning image.I love these images especially the ones of children,she captures them perfectly.I coloured the image in with my Distress Inks and the papers are My Minds Eye,which I will need to buy more of,I love them.The orange brads are more of my velvet Papermania ones and the greeting was done on the computer.The star charm was from my stash.

Mother day Flowers

Hello everybody,I hope you all have a nice weekend planned.I was going to post this card last night,but as usual Blogger was playing up and I gave up.My card for today was made using the new Floral Fervour stamp set from Elzybells. These stamps are great and brilliant value as you get loads on the sheet and they can be used for so many occasions.The papers are from Papermania as are the velvet brads.I also got some new flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.They are lovely.I stamped the wording on a tag that came with the papers and the wording is also from the Floral Fervour stamp set.The charm came from my stash.

Baby Girl

Hello,I hope you are all fine and looking forward to a nice weekend.My card today is a baby card as I have not made one of these in ages.I know a few people who are due shortly,so this should come in handy.It didn't turn out quite as I imagined though,I think I have been a bit heavy handed with the inks!!I used my Elzybells baby in a basket stamp and coloured it in with my Distress Inks.I used another Elzybells greeting stamp across the top of the image as well.The flowers are made using my new dies I got through the post today,and I stuck another of my favourite Prima Pebbles in the centre of the large one.The card stock has been embossed and the paper is a scrap I had in my stash and I have inked the edges.

Whilst making this card I accidentally spilt some of my Tattered Rose ink out of the refill bottle without noticing.It went onto my tweezers and when I picked up the Tweezers it went all over my hands.Unfortunately it looked a lot like blood and as I had not noticed I had spilt the ink,I spent 10 minutes looking for the mystery cut from which I was loosing large amounts of blood.My desk is so messy and the puddle of ink was buried under papers and scissors!Luckily nothing was destroyed and this will learn me in future to tidy up as I am going along!!

Hello everyone,are you enjoying your weekend.My card tonight is made using a cute digi image from InStyle.Isn't it cute I love her face.As usual it is coloured in with my Distress Inks.I really must start using my Promarkers again!The papers are Basic Grey and some pink card I ran through my Cuttlebug and sponged with some ink.I used some more of my lovely little flowers,I am running out of these.I finished it with some jute ribbon,some pink ribbon and a butterfly charm.

Dads Birthday

Hello everyone,I hope you are all fine and enjoying your weekend.I think I may have actually made an older male card that I like for a change!It might have something to do with the lovely Cosmo Cricket papers that I got yesterday,they are great.I used my Elzybells Bubble greetings stamps for this.It does not have the word dad in it though,I just made it by cutting the letters from other words.This is a really useful set,and I have used it loads.There are also smaller sentiments in it as well,the small sentiment along the bottom is from it as well.I punched three circles out of red card and attached it with brads.I hope you like it.

Hello I hope everyone is fine.We had more snow here last night,roll on spring!!My card for today was made using a cute LOTV stamp.I just love this teddy with his little glasses.As usual he is coloured in with Distress Inks.My Promarkers are starting to feel neglected.!I cut him out with my nesties and added some purple roses.The paper is from the Papermania capsule collection as are the little mini buttons.Greeting done on computer and a drop of Stickles added here and there.

This is a card made using one of the lovely Squiggle images.These are really cute and fun to colour.This is made for a fourth birthday I have coming up.I have coloured her in with my Distress Inks,I love them.I used the sketch from Papertake Weekly,but I turned it on its side.I used my Martha Stewart punch,and some Doodlebug letters for the name,the greeting is a Pebbles Inc rub on.The paper is Basic Grey.I finished off with some punched flowers,a charm and a Prima pebble in the middle of the flower.

This is my first ever Digi stamp and I can see them becoming addictive.It is one of the fabulous Mo Manning images.Her work is stunning and I especially like the one with the children.She manages to capture childhood expressions and habits perfectly,they are lovely.I coloured this card in with my Distress Inks,I think I am starting to get the hang of it!I used some Basic Grey Wisteria papers and the sentiments is a Whimsy stamp.A quick post today,not much time.Before I go though check out the lovely candy up for grabs on Rosettes blog.If you are a Basic Grey fan you will love it.Bye for now.x

Aaargh Male cards.

As you can see from the title of this post I hate making male cards.I find them difficult to do.and I never like the end result.I love this Chester stamp from Kraftin Kimmie,but I am still not keen on the card.I have a mental block when it comes to cards for men.I love making cards for little boys,but older boys and men,forget it!!

Anyway this card was made using my Chester stamp and some old Basic Grey papers.I also used my Martha Stewart punch and finished of with a ribbon,star charm and a greeting done on computer.Image coloured in with Promarkers.

This is a wall clock that I altered to go with my daughters new purple room.This is just a cheap clock that I bought for about £2.I pulled it apart,added a Kraftin Kimmie image,some papers,covered the handles with paper and the seconds handle with stickles.I printed out the numbers on the computer,punched them out with a circle punch and stuck them in place.I also punched some holes in the plastic around the clock with my Cropadile and added some flowers.These are really easy to do and great fun.I have made loads of these for gifts in the past.

I am not really into Valentines Day,but I loved this stamp and I thought it would do for anniversaries ands other occasions.It is from Elzybells.I have coloured it in with my Distress Inks.I have only started using them so this card is maybe not coloured in great,but I need the practice.I love using Distress Inks though,they are great fun.I used some Quickutz hearts in the corner and tied on a metal charm with red gingham ribbon.Finished of with red gems and greeting done on computer.

Hello and I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.I have been trying to blog the whole day,but I could not get on until now,its driving me crazy.Anyway,my card for today is quite a simple one as I have loads to make.I used my Elzybells bubble greetings stamps.I stamped the words onto purple spotty paper from the new Docrafts range,cut round it and stuck it onto white card with the age and name already printed on it.I added some flowers,3 mini buttons and some ribbon and a little rose charm to finish.I put stickles on the flowers for some sparkle.

Teddy Bear

Hi,I hope everyone is having a nice weekend.I am trying to keep warm,lots of snow here,roll on spring!!

My card today is for a new baby boy and as I have used the only teddy bear stamp I own I am going to enter it into the challenge over at Just Cute Bears,,which this week is Congratulations.I cant remember who made this stamp as it is an old one.I coloured the image in with Distress Inks,the first time I have used them.I quite like the effect you get with the inks,but I need a bit more practice yet.

I left this card quite simple I just layered the image onto some blue bazzill card,and used my Martha Stewart border punch,and some ribbons and another one of my Prima pebbles to finish.I hope you like it and I am hoping to get some more things made today,including a clock made with one of my Kraftin Kimmie stamps.

Wings of Hope

I am sure everyone by now has seen this beautiful image you can purchase from Whimsy Stamps .Proceeds will go to help victims of the terrible earthquake in Haiti,a very good cause.

I have a birthday coming up for a little girl that loves horses,so I thought she would love this.I coloured it in with my Promarkers and covered the wings in Stickles.Greeting was done on computer and finished of with a charm tied on to the ribbon.I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday.

I am not getting much time for crafting as I have been busy this week with decorating and birthdays,but hopefully things will settle down and I will get more time.We have more snow here now with a warning for more heavy snow over weekend,so I will be staying in.

My First Easel Card!

After seeing loads of these easel cards on other blogs,I thought I would try one of my own.I made this for my lovely little girl who will be 5 on Thursday.Wow,where has the time gone!!.I loved making this card and I can see why they are so popular.I used one of my Kraftin Kimmie stamps.I love this stamp,she looks so happy.I coloured her in with Promarkers and I added some flock to the basket to look like little flowers.

I cut the image out and stuck her on with foam pads.I also used my Basic Grey Wisteria pad.I absolutely love these papers,the colours are lovely.The heart charm is out of my new stash and I finished it with flowers and the greetings are done on the computer.

70th Birthday

This is a card that was requested.They wanted it similiar to the last card I made so there is no stamp used on this one either.Not my kind of card but it was what they wanted.I made this using the Docrafts Goody bag.I have never bought the goody bag before as they never appealed to me but I loved the ribbons and buttons in this one.The brads are lovely as well.The papers were perfect for this card and I finished it of with a Polka dot ribbon from the bag and some gems.Greeting was done on computer.I am still having trouble blogging and it is putting me off coming on here.I will persevere for a while yet,but it is really frustratring me now!!!I am going to enter this card into this weeks challenge at Sketch and Stash.

Another quick card from me.This was a simple and quick card to make.I just used some paper out of my stash and my Martha Stewart punch and another one of my Prima pebbles,and some flowers.

I am not sure I like this card.I couldn't find an image I thought was suitable for the person,so I just printed a greeting on the computer and I am not sure it works.The flowers pretty it up a bit though,I have also gone over the lettering with my Sakura glitter pen but it does not show up in photo.

I have not been leaving many comments lately as Blogger has been playing up with me again and going really slow or not working at all.I sometimes have to restart my computer after visiting some blogs.I cannot understand it,but it is really frustrating:-(

Birthday Owls

I have finally found time to make a card.This is a card I have made for my little boy to give to his sister.My wee girl will be 5 on the 28th January.My birthday is on the 27th of January and is mostly forgotten about as it is spent getting things ready for my daughter!!I am approaching the age where you want to forget about your birthday anyway!!

She loves owls so I got this stamp for her.I also used My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow papers and some beautiful flowers I got in a present,they are lovely.I also got these Prima Pebbles in an online sale.

Aren't they lovely I had never seen them before.I got 3 different packs with loads of different pictures in them.I also got little metal round tags and the pebble fitted exactly in the middle.

I am going to enter this card into the challenge at Cute Card Thursday which this week was that you had to make a card with something new or about something new like a baby or house etc.I used lots of new stash on this.

Still freezing cold here,I hope everyone is manging to keep warm.I hope to be back tomorrow with another card.

I hope everyone had a nice christmas.We had a lovely christmas,although you could not move for toys!!The New Year will be quieter for us though,we have not done Hogmany since we had children which is 5 years ago now and anyway it is waaaay to cold to go out,it has not risen above freezing for days up here in the far north.

My card for today is one that I made ages ago,as I have not had time to craft this past few weeks.It is a simple card made using my nesties and my Bubbles Greetings stamp from Elzybells.I also used my Martha Stewart border punch.
